Definition: Superinfected inflammation of the anterior and/or posterior UVEE.

Additional information for professionals: It is often of exogenous origin (ocular surgery or trauma), associated or not with autoimmune disorders of the HLA B27 type, or more rarely it is due to septic emboli from a focus of endocarditis or meningitis.
